Terms of Service
These terms describe the responsibilities, limits, and acceptable use conditions for staff and administrators who access the FreshZone monitoring platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using FreshZone, you agree to these terms and to the operational policies that support secure use of the system.
2. Service Description
FreshZone provides real-time campus monitoring for vape aerosol events using networked sensors, alert workflows, and historical reporting.
- Displays PM1.0 readings for vape aerosol detection.
- Sends alerts when detection thresholds are met.
- Stores activity logs for investigation and reporting.
3. User Accounts
Account creation
Users must provide accurate account details, including identity and role information required by their institution.
Account security
- Keep credentials confidential.
- Report unauthorized access immediately.
- Use the platform only under your assigned role.
4. Roles and Permissions
Administrators
- Can review alerts, acknowledge or resolve events, and manage users or settings.
Staff or teachers
- Can view live readings, receive alerts, and respond through the workflows provided to their role.
5. Acceptable Use
FreshZone may be used only for legitimate campus monitoring, safety response, reporting, and approved administrative operations.
Prohibited Activity
- Do not tamper with sensors, firmware, or deployed hardware.
- Do not share credentials or impersonate another user.
- Do not scrape, export, or redistribute data without authorization.
- Do not attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or role restrictions.
- Do not upload malicious code or use the platform for unlawful activity.
6. Data and Privacy
Your use of FreshZone is also subject to the Privacy Policy, which explains how account, device, and sensor data is handled.
7. Intellectual Property
The platform, interface, branding, and related software remain the property of FreshZone and its licensors. Use is limited to authorized institutional purposes.
8. Suspension or Termination
Access may be suspended or terminated for policy violations, misuse, institution request, or service discontinuation.
9. Availability and Accuracy
FreshZone is provided as available. Sensor readings can be affected by environmental conditions, calibration drift, or connectivity limits, so the platform should support decision-making rather than replace professional assessment where required.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent allowed by law, FreshZone is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, service interruption, or inaccurate third-party inputs.
11. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated as the service evolves. Continued use after updates become effective means the revised terms are accepted.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines, and any disputes will be handled by the appropriate courts within that jurisdiction.
