Live Sensor Dashboard Guide

Reading Your Dashboard
Sensor card colorsEach zone card changes color based on the current PM1.0 level. Gray means offline, green is clear air, orange means aerosol detected, and red means a heavy detection requiring immediate response.
Auto-refreshThe dashboard polls each sensor every 3–5 seconds automatically. You do not need to manually reload — readings and card states update in real time as long as the page is open.
Alert actionsWhen a red alert fires, two buttons appear on the sensor card — Acknowledge (admin) and Mark Resolved (staff). Both must be completed to close an event and stop the alarm overlay.

What the PM1.0 number means

The number shown on each card is the current PM1.0 concentration in µg/m³. Normal campus air reads 2–8. A reading above 35 means aerosol is present. Above 80 is a confirmed heavy detection.

Sensor offline status

A gray “Sensor Offline” card means the device has not sent data recently. This can be caused by a power interruption or a dropped network connection at the sensor location.

Push notification delivery

When an alert fires, a Web Push notification is sent to all registered staff devices simultaneously. Enable notifications using the bell icon in the top nav to ensure you receive them on your current device.
